Oh! Wot a Dream -- Kevin Ayers (from Bananamour)

A really easy, really jaunty tune; it was written in tribute to a meeting Kevin had with Syd Barrett, but
it also makes quite a nice "love song" of sorts.

Standard tuning, 4/4

INTRO:
C F C F C F G G

C F
You are the most extraordinary person
C F
You write the most peculiar kind of tunes.
C F
I met you floating while I was boating
G
One afternoon.

C F
Wasn't it the most amazing meeting?
C F
Surrounded by those monsters from the deep
C F
You started telling me a funny story
G
And I fell asleep.

CHORUS (Staccato palm mute on the beat)
Am
Oh wot a dream!
C
Oh wot a dream that was!

C F
We went for a ride across the country
C F
I was hungry after travelling so far
C F
You offered me your one and only sandwich, I said
G
"How kind you are".

CHORUS x2

C F
Wasn't it the most amazing feeling?
C F
'Cause everything was really as it seemed
C F
You are the most extraordinary person
G
I've ever dreamed

CHORUS x2
