Joshua Fletcher

The Wild One

by Joshua Fletcher
Joshua Fletcher

Biography:

At barely 24 years old, Joshua Fletcher has already been involved in the Atlanta area music scene for nearly a decade, and it shows. Out of his punk influenced adolescence Fletcher has developed not only a DIY work ethic that has carried him out of the great state of Georgia literally from coast to coast, but also with his band, The Six Shot Romance, a sound that while heavy on pop and country sensibilities is 100% rock and roll enough to not suck.

[Intro]
C G Fmaj G

[Verse 1]
C
Woke up to an empty house
G
The rain that's always coming down
Fmaj G
It's the same old storm
C
Another empty glass of red
G
You took the sheets right off the bed
Fmaj G
Now they're on your ghosts

[Bridge]
Am
You used to tell me that everything
G
Is a little better in the morning
C Fmaj
But when you're lonesome, and you've got no one to take you home
G
I don't know

[Chorus]
Am
You took me for a rolling stone
G
And teased me on the telephone
Fmaj G
Oh Atlanta, you're just a little out of touch
Am
I'm building castles out of rags and thread
G
Empty bottles by the riverbed
Fmaj G
Oh, I'm a lonely son
C G Fmaj G
But you're the wild one

[Verse 2]
C
This old house, it speaks
G Fmaj
All the floors beneath my feet say they miss you
G
Oh they should be missing me
C
So I'll write down everything you said
G
Pour your ghosts a glass of red
Fmaj G
And watch your thunderstorms roll across the bed

[Bridge]
Am
Go on and tell me that every light
G
Is a little brighter in the morning
C Fmaj
But when you're lonesome and you find someone to take you home
G
I don't know

[Chorus]
Am
You took me for a rolling stone
G
And teased me on the telephone
Fmaj G
Oh Atlanta, you're just a little out of touch
Am
I'm building castles out of rags and thread
G
Empty bottles by the riverbed
Fmaj
Oh, I'm a lonely son
G C G Fmaj G
But you're the wild one
