James Vincent Mcmorrow

Biography:

James Vincent McMorrow is an Irish singer-songwriter from Dublin, Ireland. McMorrow began performing under his own name in 2007, releasing an EP entitled The Sparrow and the Wolf in 2008. Intro: Em

Em C Em
follow you down to the red oak tree
G Am Em
as the air moves thick through the hollow reeds
Am C Em
will you wait for me there until someone comes
Am Em
to carry me, carry me down

Em C Em
see i have not i have not grown cold
G Am Em
i have stole from men who have stole from those
Am C Em
with their arms so thin and their skin so old
Am Em
but you are young, you are young, you are young

Bm C G
then somebody laughs like it’s all just for hell
Bm C G
as though we could not be saved from the depth of the well
Am C Em
but the cloth that i make is a cloth you can sell
C D
to pay for the gossamer seed

Em C Em
names get carved in the red oak tree
G Am Em
of the ones who stay and the ones who leave
Am C Em
i will wait for you there with these cindered bones
Am D Em
so follow me follow me down
Am D Em
follow me follow me down
Am D Em
follow me follow me down
Am D Em
follow me follow me down
