[Verse 1]
Gmaj7 Am6/9
It’s the birth of a star, earlier than sunset
D6 G#m7b5
It’s the galaxy's water, flowing like a river bed
Gmaj7
It’s the rain, oh the rain
Am6/9
Drown upon this summer day
D6
Grown into a super nova
G#m7b5
Back to where we used to play
Gmaj7 Am6/9
It’s an infinity, as it feasts on time
D6 G#m7b5
‘Cause it constantly leaps, perpetual design
Gmaj7
‘Cause we worship the key
Am6/9
The tide is going out now
D6
As we look out to sea
G#m7b5
Legs sprawled and head down

[Bridge]
Gmaj7 Am6/9
Yes they shine bright like a million, let them bleed twice for a minute
D6 G#m7b5
Pleasure to have met you, you’re my star tonight
Gmaj7 Am6/9
To have felt this oh sublime, like a grain of sand travelling through time
D6 G#m7b5
Pleasure to have met you, you’re my star tonight

The time it took to realise
Dm7 C#maj7 Csus4 B(#9)/D#
What you say bears sweet on my soul

Compliments with no surprises
Dm7 C#maj7 Csus4 B(#9)/D#
Making routes straight to their home

Dm7 C#maj7 Csus4 B(#9)/D#
Rusty nail showing bruises
Dm7 C#maj7 Csus4 B(#9)/D#
Not quite holding firmly now

Complications, falling useless
Dm7 C#maj7 Csus4 B(#9)/D#
Alone until I work it out

[Chorus]
Dm7 C#maj7 Csus4 B(#9)/D#
We don’t see eye to eye, we don’t see eye to eye
