Notes: * after the chords mean either a single normal down strum, or a slower down strum so you hear every
string.
Also the amazing grace is four bars long starting 2 counts after the Johnny's chorus and start of the
3rd bar you switch to D# for a full bar back to A# for two counts and then going into the final chorus

[Intro]
G

[Verse 1]
G
I left my dear trying to find adventure
D G
She spent years trading my whiskey out for seltzer
C G
Still I hear her voice in the pit of my failure
D G
I ride alone down Goodbye Road

G
I kept my eyes tryna find better weather
D G
Just to find it ain't getting any better
C G
And still I hear her voice so clear and so tender
D G
It's my tale to tell down Goodbye Road

[Chorus]
C G
Strangers, outcasts, artists and thieves
C G
Misfits, legends and lost refugees
C G Em
We may not be where we thought we would be
D* G
We made our home down Goodbye Road

[Verse 2]
G
You said you were my queen, now you're just an old disaster
D G
I said sticks and stones shouldn't be thrown from the pulpit pastor
C G
And when I hear that voice I try to move a bit faster
D G
I'd rather walk alone down Goodbye Road

[Chorus]
C G
Strangers, outcasts, artists and thieves
C G
Misfits, legends and lost refugees
C G Em
We may not be where we thought we would be
D* G
We made our home down Goodbye Road

[Bridge]
A#
Travelin' Paul on the road to Damascus
F A#
The ghost of Saul, he laid down in a casket
D# A#
Sometimes flowers grow in the soil of ashes
F A#
Pick 'em as you go down Goodbye Road

[Chorus]

D# A#
Strangers, outcasts, artists and thieves
D# A#
Misfits, legends and lost refugees
D# A# Gm
We may not be where we thought we would be
F* A#
We made our home down Goodbye Road

A# D# A#
*Hum Amazing Grace*

D# A#
Sometimes flowers grow in the soil of ashes
F A#
Pick 'em as you go down Goodbye Road
F* A#*
We made our home down Goodbye Road
