Johnny Rodriguez

Biography:

Johnny Rodriguez (born December 10 1951 in Sabinal,TX) is American country music singer. He was the first charting Latin American country music singer, infusing his music with latin sounds, and even singing verses of songs in Spanish. C F
It’s a marriage made in heaven so her mom is fond of saying

C D7 G7
So her sister caught the bouquet and your dad gave her away

C F
And she didn’t wear her blue jeans for the first time in ages

C G7 C
And she looked just like a vision so she heard them all say

F
But she settles into marriage believing it forever

C D7 G7
But somehow things looked different once the feeling’s gone

C F
In time love turns to anger and then he turned to silence

C G7 C
So she turns to some old boyfriend when he’s not at home

F C G7 C
But Old Glory is still waving down at Central High School

F C G7
Where love still means I love you till the end of the world

F C G7 C
And God is still in heaven but she hopes that He’s not watching

F C G7 C
As time is slowing changing that All American Girl

F
It’s a marriage of convenience but she keeps it from her mother

C D7 G7
Cause by the time she’s reached twenty she’s learned to tell a lie

C F
From the brandy in the cupboard from rendezvous with lovers

C G7 C
She’s learned to make excuses and she’s learned to compromise

F C G7 C
But Old Glory is still waving down at Central High School

F C G7
Where love still means I love you till the end of the world

F C G7 C
And God is still in heaven but she hopes that He’s not watching

F C G7 C
As time is slowing changing that All American Girl
