(Bouncy)

Intro: D7 G D A7 D

D7 A7 A A7 D
A little bitty tear let me down, spoiled my act as a clown,
D7 G D A7 D
I had it made up not to make a frown, but a little bitty tear let me down.

D7 A7 A A7 D
You said you were leaving tomorrow, that today was our last day,
D7 G D A7 D
I said there would be no sorrow, that I'd laugh when you walked away.

D7 A7 A A7 D
But a little bitty tear let me down, spoiled my act as a clown,
D7 G D A7 D D7 G D A7 D
I had it made up not to make a frown, but a little bitty tear let me down.

D7 A7 A A7 D
I said I'd laugh when you left me, pull a funny as you went out the door,
D7 G D A7 D
That I'd have another one waitin', and I'd wave goodbye as you go.

D7 A7 A A7 D
But a little bitty tear let me down, spoiled my act as a clown,
D7 G D A7 D D7 G D A7 D
I had it made up not to make a frown, but a little bitty tear let me down.

D7 A7 A A7 D
Everything went like I planned it, and I really put on quite a show,
D7 G D A7 D
In my heart I felt I could stand it, til’ you walked with your grip through the door.

D7 A7 A A7 D
Then, a little bitty tear let me down, spoiled my act as a clown,
D7 G D A7 D
I had it made up not to make a frown, but a little bitty tear let me down; oh……

D7 A7 D
A little bitty tear let me down. (x2 and Fade)
