Verse 1
A D
I never did drink like you
G Em
But I held back your hair like a girlfriend would do
A D
I told you how much I cared
G F Em
you turned away with a laugh and a stare
A D
Poetry crowded your face
G F Em
froze as a smile skidded back into place

Chorus
F
Now lying & leaving and driving are leaking
D
out all seven holes in our heads.
F
We use every one to make everyone feel like
Em
their feelings are only pretend.
Em
A lazy, bitter end

Verse 2
A D
Heavenly fallings from grace
G Em
You never knew your dad and I'm sorry for that
A D
Love it or leave it with me
G F Em
I'll drive it away in my car from the sea

Chorus
F
Now lying & leaving and driving are leaking
D
out all seven holes in our heads
F
We use every one to make everyone feel like
Em
their feelings are only pretend
Em
A lazy, bitter end

A D
I brought you home too late
G Em
Stayed in the car while you walked to the door

[end on]
A
