John D. Hale Band

Who Knows What Tomorrow Brings

by John D. Hale Band
John D. Hale Band

Biography:

If you were to ask the John D. Hale Band to classify their sound, they’d respond by simply saying “its country.” Charming as this response is, it has the potential to be misleading. Blending together their favorite parts of country, Americana , southern rock, and even bluegrass, the John D. Hale Band have crafted their own edgy and raucous sound.

John D. and the boys began playing in earnest in 2005 in support of their debut album, One of a Kind.

Who Knows What Tomorrow Brings - John D. Hale Band

[Intro]
G D Am C x 2

[Verse]
G D Am C
One of these days, Hell, I''m gonna break out
G D Am C
And leave this dirty little town
G D Am C
I''ll head down the road And where I stop, hell no one knows
G D Am C
Just as long as I can get outta town

[Verse]
G D Am C
Well I grew up here in this tired one horse town
G D Am C
I''m 18 years old now and I''m tired of bummin around
G D Am C
I don''t want to die here like both of my grandpas did
G D Am C
I''m headed for them streets of gold and honey that''s where I''ll live

[Chorus]
G D Am C
''Cause I''m headed down the road and I''m never looking back
G D Am C
Jumpin'' in in my pickup truck and I''m headed across the tracks
G D Am C
Just me and my ol'' guitar, my dog, and some of my things
G D Am C
Don''t know what the future holds, who knows what tomorrow brings

[Verse]
G D Am C
Well I ain''t puttin down none of my family
G D Am C
Small town living ain''t for everybody, Sure as hell ain''t for me
G D Am C
I need to find me a place where the night life''s crazy and wild
G D Am C
And I can sing and play my songs all night long And be a star for a while

[Bridge]
Em D G D C
And if you want to go dear and be with me for a while
Em D G D C
I''ll go anywhere that you want to Just as long as you smile
Em D G D C
Might head to Austin, Well we might head to San Antone
Em D C D G
Anywhere that you want to dear, as long as we don''t go home

[Chorus]
