Please

by John Carrie And Moor Green
John Carrie And Moor Green

Biography:

Humble beginnings as a street musician planted Irish songwriter and singer of songs John Carrie in cities such as New York, Berlin,Barcelona, London and Amsterdam. After lots of rain, shine , pockets of small coins and bottles of wine , the music moved indoors. A collaboration with drummer Gary Leatherland in summer 2004 led to the recording of their first ep - ’Release’. Written and recorded in Amsterdam the ep became the starting point for a string of small tours and support shows across Europe.

F C
My head is twisting the words around

Time slips away with these battles of silence
Am D
A flickering eye, to read between the lies
F C
You’re running with now, you’re running with now

F C
There’s too many sharks swimming around this town

Afraid to slow down

Gets buried in yourself

buried in yourself

F C
Please, please, please throw it a line
F
It slips through your fingers and scatters
C
Your nature is foul

An eye for an eye, to read between the lies
