[Verse 1]
Em
In my life I’ve seen sorrow,
D
Heartache and pain.
Cmaj
I’ve been burned by the sunshine,
B7sus4 B7
Been drowned in the pouring rain,
Em
Had too many lovers
D
And not enough love.
Cmaj
I’ve been tried and convicted
F#m7 B7
Of things I’m not guilty of.

[Pre-Chorus]
Am
I was locked in a prison
Em
‘Till you came and set me free.
Am Am/G
So, how can you say,
F#m7 B7
You’re no good for me?

[Chorus]
Em D6 Am7 Am9
Now that the magic has gone,
Dsus4 D
You just wanna walk away,
G
Nothing left to say
F#m B7
Anyway.

Em D Am Am
Now that the magic has gone,
Cmaj
There’s no sense in holding on.

Baby now, now that the magic is gone.

[Verse 2]
Em
You know love can be tender,
D
Love can be cruel,
Cmaj
It can smile like an angel
B7sus4 B7
While it treats you just like a fool.
Em
It captures and haunts you
D
Until you give in,
Cmaj
And it stacks the dice against you
F#m7 B7
In a game you never can win.

[Pre-Chorus]
Am
Just when I was thinking
Em
Lady Luck was here with me,
Am Am/G
You tell me, it’s over.
F#m7 B7
Say, it’s time for breaking free.

[Chorus]
Em D Am7 Am
Now that the magic has gone,
Dsus4 D
You just wanna walk away,

Nothing left to say
F#m7 B7

But my heart keeps asking, how.

Only the winner takes the purse.

F#m B7
But to me it’s just a curse.
