Verse 1:
B*
This is the story of a six string soldier
Abm*
Down in the trenches six years bolder
F#*
Sleeve bloody from the heart he's worn there
E* F#* Abm* Bbm* B*
But the valley gives the mountain such a sweeter taste in my mouth

Is so much louder than my thoughts and
F#*
I won't take my foot from the door stand
E
Up with your weapons of war
F# Abm Bbm B
'Cause the man is going down

Chorus:
B
Oh oh, you and me can go
Abm
So, oh, famously you know
F#
Like Lennon and Ono
E F# Abm Bbm B
Except with out the loco oh
B
La la, who cares what you are?
Abm
Ah, ah, I'm no superstar
F#
But with this weapon on my shoulder
E F# Abm Bbm B
I'll be your six string soldier

This is the glory of a boyhood pipe dream

To wear a crown and make the girls scream

Tongue hungry for some more of that sweet tea
E F# Abm Bbm B
But the days of taking it easy for the honey could come back with a sting

Di didido

dididi dididaaaa
F#
And I swear to go far
E F#
So watch out

'Cause the man is singing now

Chorus:

Abm
So, oh, famously you know
F#
Like Lennon and Ono
E F# Abm Bbm B
Except with out the loco oh

F#
But with this weapon on my shoulder
E F# Abm Bbm B
I'll be your six string soldier

Though my heart is breaking now

You know I'll be back in town
C#m F#
And this love it will restore

Much finer than before

This thing is huge(That's what she said)
F#* E*
It's just the beginning of something new
E* F#* Abm* Bbm* B
It's the start of me and

B (play softly; slowly building up to E)
Oh oh, you and me can go

So, oh, famously you know
F#
Like Lennon and Ono
E F# Abm Bbm B
Except with out the loco oh
B (play as usual)
La la, who cares what you are?

Ah, ah, I'm no superstar
