Big Wheel by Jim Croce

D G
Big wheel, don't you roll
A7 D
Big diesel, don't you whine
G A7 D A7
Through the night as I'm running down the road
D G A7 D
Big semi, don't you stop, 'cause if you do I'm not
G A7 D
Gonna make it back to Baltimore with my load

D G
Well, the truckstop's warm and friendly
A7 D
And the coffee keeps me up
G A7 D
And the waitress there would like to waste my time
A7 D G
But I'll have to pass it by
A7 D
As it's down the road I fly
G A7 D A7
Just a-racing with that pocket watch of mine

D G
Big wheel, don't you roll
A7 D
Big diesel, don't you whine
G A7 D A7
Through the night as I'm running down the road
D G A7 D
Big semi, don't you stop, 'cause if you do I'm not
G A7 D
Gonna make it back to Baltimore with my load

D G
Smoke a-puffing, tires a-humming
A7 D
Burning up the road
G A7 D A7
Counting road signs and the miles to Baltimore
D G
One eye out for weighing stations
A7 D
One for radar traps
G A7 D
They can't stop me, 'cause my plans don't call for that

D G
And a-big wheel, don't you roll
A7 D
Big diesel, don't you whine
G A7 D A7
Through the night as I'm running down the road
D G A7 D
Big semi, don't you stop, 'cause if you do I'm not
G A7 D
Gonna make it back to Baltimore with my load
