Jethro Tull

Up To Me

by Jethro Tull
Jethro Tull

Biography:

Jethro Tull is a progressive rock / folk rock band which formed in Blackpool, Lancashire, England in 1967. Their music is marked by the initially soulful and bluesy, and later expressively idiosyncratic, vocal style and unique lead flute work of frontman Ian Anderson, and their notable guitarist Martin Barre. Their songs feature unusual and often complex construction, incorporating elements of classical and celtic folk music, as well as art rock and alternative rock.

Take you to the cinema

your nose feels like an icicle,

the yellow fingered smoky girl,
Am D
is looking up to me.

Notes(about this part):
Em A7 Em A7 Em |
Well, I'm a common working man, |
Em A7 Em A7 Em | - I play this part with barre chords
with a half of bitter, bread and jam, | - This has nothing to do with the
Am9 A7 C A7 C | tab showed before
and if it pleases me I'll put one on you man, | - I prefer to don't play the 1° string on the last
Am9 A7 C A7 C | chord of each line, since it sounds lower and
when the copper fades away. | similiar to the original track.

C Em

* riff *

Em
The rainy season comes to pass,
D
the day-glo pirate sinks at last,
C
and if I laughed a bit to fast
Am D
well it was up to me.
Em
Take you to the cinema
D
and leave you in a Wimpy Bar,
C
you tell me that we've gone too far,
Am D
come running up to me.
