Standard Tuning / No Capo

[Verse 1]
A G D
They say that we all need companions
A G D
And how nobody goes alone
A G D
Over mountains and through canyons
G D
From the poor house to the throne
A G D
Oh but time is quite a driver
A G D
It lays a whip unto the team
A G D
It pulls apart the fibers
G D
'Till it's time we split the scene

[Chorus]
G
I guess I'll see you when I see you
D
And pray you're safe and well 'till then
A
And all the miles that lie between us
D
Will be a way back in the end
G
Oh the time we shared was a blessin'
A Bm
I'd love to live it all again
G
I guess I'll see you when I see you
A D
Happy travels my old friend

[Verse 2]
A G D
Oh we watched the sun set on us
A G D
And then come back up without rest
A G D
We spoke of things in honest
G D
All we needed to confess
A G D
Yeah but seasons some for moving
A G D
Forces greater than ourselves
A G D
But there is nothing we are losing
G D
Keep it right there on the shelf

[Chorus]

[Instrumental]
G - D - A - D

[Chorus]

Oh the time we shared was a blessin'

Guess I'll see you when I see you
