Excuse mistakes, done by ear.

No Capo

Chords: C, F, Am, Dm, G

( F can be changed to Fmaj7 )

(I like to use a d-d-dudududu strumming pattern for this song because it
mimics the sound of the music box in the actual song)

(Note: This is a very simple way to play this song. I could tab out the
entirety of the music box notes so it could be plucked if enough of you ask for it.)

[Intro:]

C F Am F

[Verse:]

C
When I was a child
F
they'd ask me where it hurt
Am F
and wipe the tears from my eyes

C
Sure embraces,
F
gentle forehead kisses
Am F
making sure that I was alright

[Pre-Chorus:]

C F
As I grew older and the nights grew shorter
Am F
I no longer cared where it hurt

[Chorus:]

C F
All I hear is, Whisky Lullabies
Am F
there to cradle me to sleep
C F
All I hear is, Whisky Lullabies
Am F
there to cradle me to sleep

[Verse:]

C
Scars they heal in time
F
the raw wounds on my mind
Am F
they aren't so easily fixed

C
You can't mend what isn't broken
F
Kind words are rarely spoken
Am F
in time I will learn this

[Pre-Chorus:]

C
But I grow older
F
and the nights grow shorter
Am F
drowning as I sink or swim

[Chorus:]

C F
All I hear is, Whisky Lullabies
Am F
there to cradle me to sleep
C F
All I hear is, Whisky Lullabies
Am F
there to cradle me to sleep

[Bridge:]

C F
Sticks and stones they break me to the bone
Am F
Words they cut they will always hurt me

(Here you can do one strum each chord or continue to strum)

F G Am
Please be my saving Grace
F G Am
Please be my saving Grace
F G Am
How to answer all my prayers
F G Am
Please be my saving Grace

(One strum each chord)

Dm G

[Chorus:]

(Back to strumming)

C F
All I hear is, Whisky Lullabies
Am F
there to cradle me to sleep
C F
and all I hear is, Whisky Lullabies
Am F
there to cradle me to sleep

[Bridge:]

C F
Sticks and stones they break me to the bone
Am F
Words they cut they will always hurt me
C F
Sticks and stones they break me to the bone
Am F
Words they cut they will always hurt me

[Outro:]

C F Am F

(End on C)
