[Verse]
D
Seventeen and innocent
G
I wonder where all the years went
A
Lookin back on a youth misspent
D
God I miss those days

D
All the chances that we took
G
Always leaped and never looked
A
Tell ya I could write a book
D
On all the hell we raised

[Chorus]
Bm A
Thought I was cool with my lucky strikes
G D/F#
I didn't start too many fights
Em A D
Oh but in those days I finished quite a few
Bm A
Beat up cars and the cheapest wine
G D/F#
And any trouble we could find
Em D/F#
The worst of days were the best of times
G A
Lookin back through life's rearview
G A D
And lookin back I miss my misspent youth

[Verse]
D
No worse now for the wear
G
Got married and cut my hair
A
Me and her we're quite a pair
D
All my friends say

D
And speaking of old friends
G
We still talk now and then
A
'cept now there's a few of them
D
You can only reach by prayer

[Chorus]
Bm A
Thought I was cool with my lucky strikes
G D/F#
I didn't start too many fights
Em A D
Oh but in those days I finished quite a few
Bm A
Beat up cars and the cheapest wine
G D/F#
And any trouble we could find
Em D/F#
The worst of days were the best of times
G A
Lookin back through life's rearview
G A D
And lookin back I miss my misspent youth

[Chorus]
Bm A
Beat up cars and the cheapest wine
G D/F#
And any trouble we could find
Em D/F#
The worst of days were the best of times
G A
Lookin back through life's rearview
G A D
And lookin back I miss my misspent youth
