CAPO: 2nd Fret

INTRO: D G D Em7 D G A7 D

G D
Some times are hard times
Em7 D
Live here all day
G
Sometimes the world rhymes
A7 D
And makes them go away

G D
Some days the sunrise
Em7 D
Comes way too soon
G
But somehow with your eyes
A7 D
There's love beneath the moon

CHORUS:
Gm D
And I carry you all day
E7
Like a long lost verse
Em7
But it could be worse
A7 D G D
I could be somewhere behind me
Em7 D
Somewhere all wrong
G
It took you to find me
A7 D
And give me back the song

INTERLUDE: D G D Em7 D G A7 D

G D
Some hero I am
Em7 D
You rescued me
G
And now I know that I can
A7 D
Be more than people see

G D
They all come calling
Em7 D
Looking for the muse
G
But those years are over
A7 D
Yesterday's news

CHORUS:
Gm D
And I carry you all day
E7
Like a long lost verse
Em7
But it could be worse
A7 D G D
I could be somewhere behind me
Em7 D
Somewhere all wrong
G
It took you to find me
A7 D
And give me back the song

BRIDGE:
C
And this is the bridge
G
And it rhymes with fridge
A7 D
'Cause there's nothing left to say
C G
We're so easily diverted
A7
When things go some other way

CHORUS:
Gm D
That's why I carry you all day
E7
Like a long lost verse
Em7
But it could be worse
A7 D G D
I could be somewhere behind me
Em7 D
Somewhere all wrong
G
It took you to find me
A7 D G D Em7 D
And give me back the song
G
It took you to find me
A7 D
And give me back the song
