DEEP WATERS

[Intro]

G#m 4 MEASURES

[Verse 1]

G#m
Is it a crime for me to be feeling this way
C#9
I’m going out of my mind
E/F# C#/Eb
And there’s no change from my runaway love

Standing here waiting for a train that may never come

[Refrain 1]

EM9 F#/G#
I saw the signs I read the book
Am7
I should have had a second look
EM7/G#
But boy you caught me dreaming
EM9 F#/G#
And there were times you’d come around
Am7
And we’d agree just to be friends
G#m–B/C#-Eb9
Tell me who was fooling who...

[Chorus]

G#m EM7
Deep waters, I’m drowning in...
C#m Eb9
Deep waters, slowly drowning in deeper...
G#m EM7
Deep waters, I’m drowning in...
C#m Eb9 – A/B
Deep waters, slowly drowning in deeper...

[Verse 3]

G#m
What do I say, what can I say (what can I say) Where words have failed me before
B6/C#
What do I do, when I’m feeling so blue
E/F# C#6/Eb
And there’s no place for me to run and hide

[Refrain 2]

EM9 F#/G#
I saw the sun inside your smile
Am7
And wished for more than just a while
EM7/G#
Cause boy you caught me dreaming
EM9 F#/G#
A giant step into the dark
Am7
We threw caution to the wind
G#m-B/C#-Eb9
Tell me who was fooling who...

[Chorus]

G#m EM7
Deep waters, I’m drowning in...
C#m Eb9
Deep waters, slowly drowning in deeper...
