[Verse]
G C G
Tonight I hear the call of Cottonwood Canyon
G C G
Listen, you can hear it on the wind
G F# C
Red tailed hawk makin' circles high above the canyon walls
G F D
And I slept in the sand, far below
Am D G
Down where the clear waters flow

[Verse]
G C G
There ain’t no cell phone towers in Cottonwood Canyon
G C G
Maybe some old coyote will give you a call
G F# C
The cottonwood tree, she sings to me
Her songs of long ago
G F D
And I slipped in the sand, down below
Am D G
Down where the clear waters flow

[Verse]
G C G
Can I find my way back to Cottonwood Canyon?
G C G
Have the drillers come? Have I waited too long?
G F# C
The cottonwood tree, she crys to me
Make them leave it in the ground
G F D
And I slept in the sand far below
Am D G
Down where the clear waters flow
Am D G
Down where the clear waters flow
