[Verse 1]
Bm G
Deceivers they plot and sway
A D
Faster than you'd believe
Bm G A
I take the time to read between the lines
D
Not received

[Verse 2]
Bm G
If lovers should not compete
A D
Winners should not be loved
Bm G
I take the time to read between
A D
The lines I'm speaking of

[Chorus]
G D A
But we don't speak of what's to come
G D
We just run from what ails
A G
As we're minding our mouthes
D A
Blue baby queen
G
You run
D A
Every day and every night in between

Bm G Bm G

[Verse 3]
Bm G
Not a single thing was lended
A D
Your karma's just been spent
Bm G
Here's the twenty dollars
A D
For the jokes of yours I rent
Bm G
The future does not exist
A D
The clock it keeps on feeding
Bm G
Why is the time of our lives
A D
Just a place that's not an Eden?

[Chorus]
G D A
But we don't speak of what's to come
G D
We just run from what ails
A G
As we're minding our mouthes
D A
Blue baby queen
G
You run
D A
Every day and every night in between

Bm G Bm G

[Bridge]

D A
You were given less
G Bm
Without the gall to ask for more
D A
He laid it on the table
G Bm
And your jaw was on the floor

D A
'Cause each and every day
G Bm
I have lost my taste to pray
D A
I refuse to pay the fines
G Bm
To the place that we designed
D A
In my sleep I grind my teeth
D A
Holding back what's underneath
G
All this ice between the sheets

[Verse]
D A
Sarah
G Bm
I have come to change your mind
D A
You can't divide a heart
G Bm
Without the crossing of some lines
D A
Sarah
G Bm
I have come to change your mind
D A
The fact you're asking why
G Bm
Was the whitest of lines

[Chorus]
G D A
But we don't speak of what's to come
G D
We just run from what ails
A G
As we're minding our mouthes

Blue baby queen

Every day and every night in between
