by Harvey Danger
Harvey Danger

Biography:

Harvey Danger was an alternative rock band that formed in Seattle, Washington in 1992 and rose to prominence in 1998 with the iconic single "Flagpole Sitta". Released from their debut album, 'Where Have All The Merrymakers Gone?', the song helped the group build its college radio fan-base. The band released their last album in 2005, 'Little by Little' (also known as 'Little by Little...'), after the five year hiatus that followed the release of their sophomore album, 'King James Version'.

He was the king of random fancy
Em7
An incorrigible flirt
A Em7 A
He liked to try to put her on a pedestal

Just so he could look up her skirt

But he's changin'

Bm E Bm E
And she is nobody's girlfriend--she doesn't mind
Bm E D F# G7
Dormant desires which are better kept clan-de-stine

Em7 A
He captured her imagination
Em7
A brutal vista on the map
A Em7
She thought she felt her will break

But it was the weather
Em7 A
From a chilling wind to a full-fledged cold snap

G F# Bm
We will be lazy with our language
E G
And comfortable with our clothes off
F#
We will say just what we have in mind

Bm E Bm E
And she's still nobody's girlfriend--she doesn't mind
Bm E D F# G7
Dormant desires which are better kept clan-de-stine

The way you want it is just the way it's going to be

That's the way you want it
It's just the way it's going to be
The only version you'll see
Me--oh, I still see the broken-up

Broken up, broken down
Broken up, broken down
do do do do...
