Biography:
In early 1970 Hans signed with Ron Tudor's newly-established independent label Fable Records. His timing was fortuitous -- soon after he signed with Fable, a cabal of Australian labels ganged together and imposed the infamous 1970 Radio Ban, which resulted in nine-month boycott on the supply of free recordings to commercial radio stations.
Thanks in part to Fable's new-found industry 'clout', Hans' scored a major national hit with his first single for Fable, "Boom Sha La La Lo" (April 1970), which he co-wrote with former Seeker Bruce Woodley.

A great 'anti-war' song cleverly disguised as a simple 'children's song'. Made #1 for 2
weeks in the Adelaide chart, #5 Australian chart, 1970. This is my version... it seems
pretty close to the recorded version, although Hans uses a banjo for parts of the intro
and outro.. The clip below shows Hans singing the song on tv... he has a capo on the
second fret... so any improvements on my version most welcome!!
