On a bus to St.Cloud, Minnesota, I thought I saw you there,
Dsus2 E7sus4 E7 Asus2
With the snow falling down a - round you, like a silent----- prayer,
Asus2
And once on a street in New York city,
F#m11
With the jazz, and the sin in the air,
Dsus2 E7sus4 E7 Asus2
And once on a cold L.A. freeway, going----- nowhere!

Dmaj9 Asus2/C# E7sus4 E7 A
And it's strange, but it's true, I was... sure----- it was you,
Dmaj9 Asus2/C# Bm7 E7 Asus2
Just a face... in the crowd, on a bus... to St.Cloud--------!

Asus2 F#m11
In a church in downtown New Orleans, I got down on my knees and prayed,
Dsus2 E7sus4 E7 Asus2
And I wept in the arms of Jesus, for the choice------ you made,
Asus2 F#m11
We were just getting to the good part, just getting past the mystery,
Dsus2 E7sus4 E7 Asus2
Oh-----, and it's just like you, it's just like you, to disagree!

Dmaj9 Asus2/C# E7sus4 E7 A
And it's strange, but it's true, you just... slipped---- out of view,
Dmaj9 Asus2/C# Bm7 E7 Asus2

And I hate you some, and I love you some, but I miss you most!
