Everybody, listen to me
And return me my ship
I^Òm your captain, I^Òm your captain
Though I^Òm feeling mighty sick
I^Òve been lost now, days uncounted
And it^Òs months since I^Òve seen home
Can you hear me? Can you hear me?
Poor am I, all alone
If you return me to my home port
I will kiss you mother earth
Take me back now, take me back now
To the port of my birth

[A]Am [Dm]I in my cab[Bb]in dream[Dm]ing
Or are you really scheming
To take my ship away from [F]me?[A]
[Dm]You better [Bb]think about it[Dm]
I just can^Òt live without it
So please don^Òt [Bb]take my ship from[F] me[A]

{C: [D] [G] [D] [G] (4 times)}

Yeah yeah yeah

{C: Succession of D Dm9 Dsus D Dm9 C D}
I can feel the hand of a stranger
And it^Òs tied me around my throat
Heaven help me, heaven help me
Take this stranger off my boat
I^Òm your captain, I^Òm your captain
Though I^Òm feeling mighty sick
Everybody, listen to me
And return me me ship
I^Òm your captain, yeah, yeah yeah

I^Òm getting closer to my home (27 times till fade)
