Good Old War

Better Weather

by Good Old War
Good Old War

Biography:

Good Old War is an American indie-folk band from Langhorne, Pennsylvania featuring former members of Days Away.

The second self-titled album by Good Old War is at its lush heart, an album of immense growth. A natural evolution from the band's debut Only Way to Be Alone (Sargent House), Good Old War radiates with warmth and vulnerability, both qualities undoubtedly cultivated by the band's hands-on self-production, and the environment of solitude in which the album was created.

Four years of hard work!

This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

Good Old War - "Better Weather"

Standard tuning; capo is at 7 on the album, but I’ve seen on YouTube that they
also play this song with the capo at the 5th fret.

Tabbing out all the noodly riffs would be a losing battle for me, but here are the
chords. Most of the intro is actually pretty easy to figure out; for the rest of it, good luck.

Intro:
C G | F C | F C | C | x2

C G F C
Maybe tomorrow this storm will blow over
F G C
The river won't overflow
C G F C
Nobody knows what tomorrow will bring
F G C
That's why we rely on hope

Am G F C
Oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh
F G C C C/B
We'll pray for some better weather
Oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh
We'll pray for some better weather

Our little house at the top of the hill
Was built with love and four tons of steel
It's pretty strong but it could still come down
Let's hope that it never will

Oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh
We'll pray for some better weather
Oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh
We'll pray for some better weather

C G | F C | F C | C | x2 (Intro chords)
Am G F C F G C (Chorus chords)

G C
You know we always have each other
Am Em G C C C/B
If we go-oh-oh-oh, we'll go together

Oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh
We'll pray for some better weather
Oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh
We'll pray for some better weather

Maybe tomorrow this storm will blow over
The river won't overflow
Nobody knows what tomorrow will bring
That's why we rely on hope

Oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh
We'll pray for some better weather
Oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh
We'll pray for some better weather
F G C
Pray for some better weather
Pray for some better weather
