Biography:

Goo Goo Dolls is an alternative rock band formed in 1985 in Buffalo, New York, USA by guitarist/vocalist John Rzeznik and bassist/vocalist Robby Takac initially under the name the Sex Maggots (the new name was chosen from an ad in True Detective magazine at the behest of a local club owner). They are most famous for the hit "Iris", featured on the soundtrack to the 1998 film City of Angels. Currently, the band consists of John Rzeznik (guitar, vocals) and Robby Takac (vocals, bass).

Four years of hard work!

This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

Johnny plays this song a hell of a lot different but this sounds kinda like it. It can
played on either acoustic or electric. I personaly prefer electric (Live In Buffalo July
2004) but you can play it on acoustic (Hold Me Up, which was the original version)if you want to.

The last time I wrote this, I totally butchered it! I forgot the 2nd verse, it was
unorganized, and it just totally sucked! I play it different now but this way sounds alright
Oh and I'm sure you'll be happy that I put the 2nd verse in this time :-p

Tuning: half step down

it doesn't sound the same as the recording but if you tune it half step down it will be
the same key!
