Update (6/2/12): Thank you (3 years later) velron, I have updated the chorus per
your suggestion. I have also changed the chords to normal barre chords and
changed the b chords to bm, as they should be.
That's the song(as far as I can tell)
If you have any corrections email me at [email protected]

I've stood on the kill floors in many slaughterhouses.
I can only say that after those experiences, meat to me smells like hot death. Because
is the smell that permeates the slaughterhouse.
It conjures up memories to me of all the animals I've watched, going down hung up by the neck.
Bm(play until end of speech segment)
Their eyes are always wide and they're always so afraid. It's almost as if they look at
and say, "Help me. This cannot be happening to me." Those animals never expect that
to come, it is just too horrific.

Bm
It's funny to think I trusted you
Bm D A Bm
It's funny to think that I have spent my whole damn life supporting you
Bm
It's funny that I believed in you,
Bm D A G
It's funny I thought that you'd be there if I should ever call on you

G
So now I'm jaded
A
Friends turn to enemies

Bm
Please don't ever be afraid of staying radical. All of the best people in history have
radical.

Bm
Now that I know that you work for them
Bm D A Bm
Now that I know your life is based around such lies and corporate greed
Bm
You only believe what you are told
Bm D A G
You only defend laws that are old because it's law don't make it right

G
So now I'm jaded
A
Friends turn to enemies

D A G A
All my life I've done what I've been asked
D A G A
So who is right? The one behind the mask

We don't face firing quads, lifetime prison sentences, or the gases chambers for saying
on our minds and in our hearts. We won't lose our lives if we speak out against animal
wherever we see them, but the animals do lose theirs if we don't so we must.

G
So now I'm jaded
A
Friends turn to enemies

Bm
It's funny to think I trusted you
Bm D A Bm
It's funny to think that I have spent my whole damn life supporting you
Bm
It's funny that I believed in you,
Bm D A G
It's funny I thought that you'd be there if I should ever call on you

D A G A
All my life I've done what I've been asked
D A G A
So who is right? The one behind the mask
D A G A
All my life I've done what I've been asked
D A G A
So who is right? The one behind the mask

Bm
Our goal is total animal liberation. The day when everyone believes that animals
are not ours to eat, not ours to wear, not ours to experiment, and not our for
entertainment or any other exploitative purpose.
