Am G C F
I may love you in the morning
G C
Like today, you'll never know
Am G C F
Step this way, I find the garden
G C
Like today, you'll never know
Am G C F
Well you may claim that you found me
G C Am
Like today, you'll never know
G C
Like today, you'll never know
F
Well nonetheless,
I must confess,
G C
That I'm the mess that has been left to save you

Your situation must be dire
F G C
Your situation must be over the creek
G F C
Haunted we speak

Am G C Am G C
But I can't have left you, I still haven't met you

Am G C F
Well I may fall into your dance
G C
Like today, I'd never know
Am G C F
We may meet with awkward hearts
G C
Like today, I'd never know
Am G C
Oh like today, I'd never know
F
Well nonetheless,
I must confess,
G C
That I'm the mess that has been left to save you

Your situation must be dire
F G C
Your situation must be over the creek
G F C
Haunted we speak

Am G C Am G C
But I can't have left you, I still haven't met you

Am G C F
If ever said too much
G C
Hear my last spoken words
Am G C F
And if I never said enough
G C
Well bleed my last spoken words
Am G C
Well bleed my last spoken words

F G
Oh nonetheless I must confess that I'm the mess
That has been left
F G
Well nonetheless I must confess that I'm the mess that
C
has been left to save you

Your situation must be dire
F G C
Your situation must be over the creek
G F C
Haunted we speak
G F C
Haunted we speak

Am G C Am G C
But I can't have left you, I still haven't met you
