Intro: D G A

VERSE CHORDS
(D)
Well a teacher of mine once told me
That life was just a list of
(G)
disappoints and defeats
And you could
(A)
only do your best
And I said
(D)
That's a fucking cop-out you're just washed up and your tired and when
(G)
I get to your age I
(A)
won't be such a coward
But these
(Em)
days I sit at home known to
(G)
shout at my TVAnd
(Bm)
Punk Rock didn't live up to what I
(A)
hoped that it could be
And all the
(Em)
things that I believed with all my
(G)
heart when I was young
Are just
(Bm)
coasters for beers and clean
(A)
surfaces for drugs
And I
(G)
packed all my
(Em)
pamflets with my
(G)
bibles at the
(A)
back of the
(D)
shelf

(Em)

(A)
no
Oh but
(D)
surely just for one
(A)
day we could
(Bm)
fight and we could
(G)
win
And if only for a
[Em] little xxxxx
(A)
we could insist on the
(Em)
impossible
(A)

BRIDGE

Well we've

Cos if it's
(Bm)
Still going to hurt in the morning and a
