by From First To Last
From First To Last

Biography:

In 2002, From First to Last is a band formed by guitarist Matt Good and Travis Richter in their hometown of Valdosta, Georgia. Eventually a solid lineup was formed, with vocalist Philip Reardon, guitarist Richter, guitarist Good, bassist Joey Antillon and drummer Derek Bloom. In 2003 The band released the EP Aesthetic on Four Leaf Recordings. At the time, Bloom had been with the band a few weeks and most of the singing was done by Good and Richter as they had provided vocals since the band had formed, where Reardon provided the screaming.

Em C Am
Two
Em
Roads split off from here,
C(CMaj7) (Am) Em
and my life goes running in opposite directions.
C (Am)
Exaggerating the barrier between who I am, and who I want to be.

Interlude:

C

Verse:

Bm C Em
I wanted to be that breath of fresh air,
Bm C Em
When everything smelled so insincere.
Bm C
But this taste still lingers in my mouth,
Em
Deceit has ways of sticking around.
Bm C
And I'm ready to disappear,
Em
Vacation seems far, seems far from here.

Interlude:

Em G

Bridge:(it switches from 4/4 to 3/4 so strum wisely)

Em
Note to self: I miss you terribly.
G
This is what we call a tragedy.
Em G
Come back to me, come back to me, to me.
Em
Note to self: I miss you terribly.
G
This is what we call a tragedy.
Em G
Come back to me, back to me, to me.

Changes to 4/4 here -

Em C
I can feel my mind, wandering again.
G D
Into where I don't know, and will I ever get home?
Em C
Time starts moving, faster than I can.
G
And I'm sick of this scene,
D
I need a break from routine.

Em C
I can feel my mind, wandering again.
G D
Into where I don't know, and will I ever get home?
Em C
Time starts moving, faster than I can.
G
And I'm sick of this scene,
D
I need a break from routine.

Transition: Just like the intro.

Em C Am
Two
Chorus:

Em
Roads split off from here,
C(CMaj7) (Am) Em
and my life goes running in opposite directions.
C (Am)
Exaggerating the barrier between who I am, and who I want to be.

Em C Am Em C Am
Which part of me is lost? I feel so close, and yet I am so far.
Em C Am Em C Am
Which part of me is lost? I feel so close, and yet I am so..

End on Em and soak up the sadness :(
