[Verse 1]
C Am
Well I stared out the window, into the rain soaked night
C Am
And I turned on my dims, when somebody flashed their brights
F C G/B Am
Then I reached over and turned the radio, way down low
C G C Csus4
And your sister cried, all the way, home

[Verse 2]
C Am
Lightning crashed and the road shone, just like a mirror
C Am
A dog came out of the ditch, then he just disappeared
F C G/B Am
And I remember the conversation we once had, on the telephone
C G C Csus4
And your sister cried, all the way, home

[Solo]
C Am
C Am

[Bridge]
F C
I’ll never know how you got into, such a mess
F C
Why do the bridesmaids all have to wear the same dress
F C G/B Am
And everybody said you looked real good, but I think that you just looked stoned
C G C Csus4
And your sister cried, all the way, home

[Outro]
C G C Csus4 C
And your sister cried, all the way, home
