Biography:
Franz Joseph Haydn (Rohrau an der Leitha,31 de marzo de 1732 - Viena, 31 de mayo de 1809), compositor austríaco de música clásica, representante de la época clasicista.
Su hermano Michael también fue compositor, aunque menos conocido.
Nació en Rohrau, una pequeña población cerca de Viena (Austria), y cerca de la frontera con Hungría, en 1732, y fue el segundo de los doce hijos de Matthias Haydn y Anna Maria Koller. El padre era fabricante y reparador de carros al servicio del conde Harrach.
