Old Flames by Frank Turner
Album: Ten for Ten

Notes!
-Slide up to the open A chords to be all bluesy like Frank (Listen to the track).
-The (*) mark means skip the chords and just walking down an open C to F like so

e|-0------1---|
B|-1------1---|
G|-0------2---|
D|-2-0----3---|
A|-3---3--3---|
E|-0------1---|

^The chords work, but it sounds clunky with full chords changes.
Plus that's how he does it in that one youtube video! You know the one!

This is the key for the youtube video I watched---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lkv6TsnmirU
So for the album recording you would capo on the 2nd fret.

Intro:

Slide up to A all bluesy like for beats 1-3 and then play D on beat 4
Repeat 4 times, and on the 5th measure ring G for two beats and then D for two beats.
Verse 1 starts on beat 1 of measure 6. Hope thats detailed enough.

Bluesy A Slide

Frank Turner:
A
I went down to London Town to stay for the weekend
D A
I'd been to long out on the road I needed to catch up with my friends
Cadd9 A Cadd9 A
But I didn't expect to see you there and I didn't expect to care
F#m E A Bm
And I said, oh honey if I had known,
F#m E A Bm
How the weekend would go,
F#m E A Bm
Just how low I could go,
D E A
I would've stayed away

(Same chords as ^)
Billy the Kid:
A
I went back to town
Pack my things to say goodbye
D A
But I got talked in to going for a drink and one drink became a night
Cadd9 A Cadd9 A
If I'd know that you were 'round, I wouldn't have gone down
F#m E A Bm
And I said, oh honey if I could had seen,
F#m E A Bm
Where this weekend would lead,
F#m E A Bm
And seen the wreckage I'd leave,
D E A
I would've stayed away

Frank Turner:
D
And I always knew it was a bad idea
A E
And I always knew that I should just stay clear

F#m E D
I slipped up on a couple of months and a couple of beers

I'd like to fall in love again
A E
But we're no good at being friends
F#m E
It's just sex with the ex and the morning regrets

A D F
But do you remember
G C C/B F D
Back when we were young and unformed
A D F G C/G G F D
It was all so much easier to give of yourself to fall in love, yeah

A D F G C
But as we get older and set in our ways
C/B F
We hide in our hearts
D
But on nights like these
A D F
It can seem so much simpler
G C C/B Am G F G
To simply forget why we ever grew apart

Billy the Kid:
F C/G
I don't really know what you were thinking
G
Do you even think at all?
Am G F
Call and crash in some motion the way that we fall into bed
C/G
I don't really know what I was drinking
G
I don't usually drink at all
Am G F
I woke up with the hotel bill and an ache in my head

Frank Turner & Billy the Kid:
F C/G
I'd like to fall in love again
G
We're no good at being friends
Am G
It's just sex with the ex and the morning regrets

C/G G
And oh, honey,
(*Am G C F)
It won't be the same
Am G F
Oh, honey, we'll never change
Am G C Dm
We're drawn back into the flame
F
And we both,
G
Both should’ve stayed,
C
Stayed away
