Foo Fighters

Back And Forth

by Foo Fighters
Foo Fighters

Biography:

Foo Fighters is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1994. It was founded by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl as a one-man project following the dissolution of Nirvana after the suicide of Kurt Cobain. The group took its name from "Foo fighter", a nickname coined by Allied aircraft pilots for UFOs and other aerial phenomena. Over the course of their career, Foo Fighters have won 12 Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Album four times.

Album Title: Wasting Light

[Intro]
F5 F#5 G5 G#5 A5

[Verse 1]
A
Once upon a time I was somebody else
C
In another life, I saw myself
G D
Way back then, back when I was you

A
Somewhere down the line I started to slip
C
Years gone by, biting my lip
G D
All the while, all this time I knew

A
Now you're on your own, one for the pages
C
Over the hill and through the ages
G D
Does my heaven burn like hell on you?

A
Out beneath the cracks and coming in waves
C
Rolling like an earthquake under the pavement
G D
Heavy now, tell me Mr.Truth

[Pre Chorus]
A5 G#5 G5 G#5
You got a lot of nerve...
F G
Now show a little backbone why don't you

[Chorus]
C F
I'm lookin' for some back and forth with you
C F D F
Are you feeling the same as I do now and now and then?
C F
I'm lookin' for some back and forth with you
C F D F
Are you feeling the same as I do, down and out

[Verse 2]
A
Holding my breath I waited and waited
C
How'd the simple life get so complicated?
G D
Shoes to fill, secrets to spill down you
A
Deer in the headlights, spoke in the wheel
C
You want pretend I need for real
G D
I'm taking it back, all my IOU's

[Pre Chorus]
A5 G#5 G5 G#5
You got a lot of nerve...
F G
Now show a little backbone why don't you

[Chorus]
C F
I'm lookin' for some back and forth with you
C F D F
Are you feeling the same as I do now and now and then?
C F
I'm lookin' for some back and forth with you
C F D F
Are you feeling the same as I do, down and out

[Solo]
