Eva Cassidy

Biography:

Eva Marie Cassidy (February 2, 1963 in Washington, DC – November 2, 1996 in Bowie, Maryland) was an American vocalist described by the British newspaper The Guardian as "one of the greatest voices of her generation." G Em
My love is like a red, red rose
C D [D7]
That's newly sprung in June;
G Em
My love is like a melody
C D [D7] G
So sweetly play'd in tune

G C G
As fair art thou, my bonnie lad,
C D [D7]
So deep in love am I;
G Bm C G
And I will love thee still, my dear,
C D G
Though all the seas gone dry.

G Em
Though all the seas gone dry, my dear,
C D [D7]
And the rocks melt with the sun;
G Em
I will love thee still my dear,
C D [D7] G
Though the sands o' life shall run.

G C G
So fare-thee-weel, my only love!
C D [D7]
And fare-thee-weel awhile!
G Bm C G
And I will come to you again,
C D G
Though it were ten thousand miles!

G Em
Though it were ten thousand miles, my dear
C D [D7]
Though it were ten thousand miles.
G Em
I will come to you again.
C D [D7] G
Though it were ten thousand miles
