Biography:

Eric Carmen (former vocalist of The Raspberries) is a pop/rock musician and singer-songwriter well known for his first single "All By Myself" (released in 1976) and his 1987 comeback single "Hungry Eyes" (written by J. DeNicola and F. Previte for the iconic 'Dirty Dancing' soundtrack). The former, a smooth ballad, was penned by Carmen based on a classical theme by Sergei Rachmaninoff. All For Love

F Bb
Love was in her heart but I had dreams to find before I could see
F C
I asked her if she'd wait for me but I was gone too long
F Bb
Tears were in her eyes, she said I took our love and threw it away
F C
And nothin' I could do or say could bring it back again

A7 Dm Bb C
I was tryin' to be somethin' more than the man I had come to be
A7 Dm Bb
I never meant to leave her sad and lonely if only she could see

Chorus
F m7
I did it all for love, all for love
Bb C
'Cause nothin' really matters if it's strong enough
F Am7
All for love, all for love
Bb C
No, nothin' really matters if you've got enough

She walked out that door and all my dreams went with her into the night
I wondered how a love so right could ever slip away
Love was in her heart but I had dreams to find before I could see
That somewhere deep inside of me she'll always be the one

I was tryin' to be somethin' more... + Chorus
