Song is actually in 4/4 time.

[Chorus]
G C Em7 Am
We don't dance the two-step anymore,
D G D
All we need's a small part of the floor.
G C Em7 Am
The band can go on playing almost anything it wants,
D G
When you fall in love, everything's a waltz.

[Verse 1]
G C Em7 Am
Eyes were meant for looking into way up close.
D G D
Arms were meant for holding what you want the most.
G C Em7 Am
Lips were meant to say what bodies feel down in their hearts,
D G
When you fall in love, everything's a waltz.

[Chorus]
G C Em7 Am
We don't dance the two-step anymore,
D G D
All we need's a small part of the floor.
G C Em7 Am
The band can go on playing almost anything it wants,
D G
When you fall in love, everything's a waltz.

[Verse 2]
G C Em7 Am
We don't hear the music that is being played.
D G D
But all we need's the music that our two hearts made.
G C Em7 Am
Beating soft three-quarter time and we just sing along.
D G
When you fall in love, everything's a waltz.

[Chorus]
G C Em7 Am
We don't dance the two-step anymore,
D G D
All we need's a small part of the floor.
G C Em7 Am
The band can go on playing almost anything it wants,
D G
When you fall in love, everything's a waltz.

[Outro]
G C Em7 Am
Oh, the band can go on playing almost anything it wants,
D G
'cause we're in love, and everything's a waltz.
