(Em)Why? Did you let(A w/no3rd - x02200) me run
when you (Em)knew I'd fall for the (A-3)gaping hole
where your (Em)heart should be (A-3)

(Em)Liar! (A-3)Couldn't cut me (Em)deeper with a knife if you tried(A-3)
Just take a (Em)look before you run off and hide(A-3)
at your victim arise...(Am) (Am-5/Eb - x01210)

(G)Clouds on your shoulder...(D)
Aren't they (F)grazed by the afterglow?(C7 - x35353 or x32310) (C)
(G)How quiet they gather(D)
when the storm's(Bb) about to blow...(C)

No don't (Em)look away... (Am)caught in the crossfire (D)and it
(Em)ain't no wind of change (Am)
I'm talking of crime and (D)passions rage... (E-3rd - 022000) (D-3rd - xx0230)

Summer of madness or the undertow drag me up an alley
for the blossoming fire on a stranger's smile...

Bride of wire! How disguise so easily cracked!
Saw your heart turn spade-- this orchid's turned to black...

Graze on your shoulder...
Like the clouds in the afterglow...
How quiet they gather
when the storm's about to blow...

Clouds on your shoulder... in the haze of the afterglow...
stranded together and the storm's about to blow...
