the strumming pattern is for most of the song, but there are changes. it's easier to just listen haha.
the song starts with palm muting the strumming pattern, and then a break, and then the actual tune begins.

[Verse]
B
It was a difficult decision
D#m F#
But every drop of water was a lake, oh
B
And I guess I had a vision
D#m E
Of every unavoidable mistake, oh

B
Though I never had a white flag
D#m F#
I surrendered you my every vital sign, oh
B
But the thing about the heart is
D#m E
It beats with no instruction from the mind, oh

[Chorus]
C#m B
You came into the kitchen and you laid me on the table like a meal
E
I won't recover in a heartbeat
E B
You could hammer a nail with the way I feel

[Tag]
B D#m F# x2

[Verse]
B
You won't find us in the Bible
D#m F#
But the story's parabolic at the core
B
I'm just singing this recital
D#m E
In the hope that they might one day find a cure
B
And our bodily components
D#m F#
And everyone that knows them came from stars, oh
B
But the thing about the mind is
D#m E
It has no consideration for the heart, oh

[Chorus]
C#m B
You came into the kitchen and you laid me on the table like a meal
E
I won't recover in a heartbeat
E B
You could hammer a nail with the way I feel
C#m
And maybe I'm a naysayer
B
And probably the best is yet to come
E
I will recover in a heartbeat
E B
I'll be born again with the morning sun

[Outro]
B F#
B D#m F#
B F# [x3]
