Dr. Hook: A Little Bit More

First Verse

D G
The days have been long
G D
And I have been lonesome
D A
Recalling the dreams
A D
That never came true
D G
The nights have been lonely
G D
But now that's all over
D A
'Cause I've paid my debt
A D
For trusting in you

Chorus

D G D
Every day your memory grows dimmer
D A
Clouds drift away
A D
Sunshine peeps through
D G D
Every night no longer you'll haunt me
D A
My conscience is clear
A D
Oh what about you

G D A D during solo

Second Verse

D G
It's hard to believe
G D
That you are the same one
D A
That once meant so much
A D
And I loved so true
D G
It's hard to know
G D
I've worshipped the wrong one
D A
But I've paid for it
A D
Now what about you

Repeat chorus 2x the fade on the second

This song was recorded around 1976 for Dr. Hook's album A Little Bit More. The
song was produced by Ron Haffkine and Waylon Jennings. If you listen to the song
you'll hear Waylon playing in the backround and singing backup during the chorus.
