[Intro]

G A D

[Verse 1]

G A D
I can see that you haven't recovered from the girl who let you down
G A D
You'd sell what is left of your soul another go round
G A
You keep telling yourself she means nothing
D D/F# G
Maybe you should call her bluff
A D
You don't really believe it, you must not be drinking enough

[Verse 2]

G A D
Oh the perfume she wore you can buy down and the five and dime
G A D
But on some other woman it don't smell the same in your mind
G A
You keep telling yourself you can take it
D D/F# G
Telling yourself that you're tough
A D
But you still want to hold her you must not be drinking enough
D/F# G A D
You're not drinking enough to wash away old memories

[Verse 3]

E G
And there ain't enough whiskey in Texas to keep you from begging
A
Please, please, please
G
She passed on your passion, stepped on your pride,
D D/F# G
Turns out you ain't quite so tough
A D
Cause you still want to hold her, you must not be drinking enough
G
Aye aye aye aye
D
Ask yourself why
A G A D
You still want to hold her, you must not be drinking enough
G
Aye aye aye aye
D
Aye aye aye aye
A G A D
Oh you still want to hold her, you must not be drinking enough
A G No Chord (let G Ring)
Boy you still want to hold her, you must not be drinking enough
