Intro G C

C F
It sure is cold tonight out here on this highway
G C
And my mind is on someone warm and far away

Although it's been all wrong
F Em Dm C
I know I'd make it right
G C
If I could be in Birmingham tonight

C F
I'd take her to that place we used to go
G C
Yeah, and we'd dance to that old jukebox just once more
F Em Dm C
I'd hold her close until the morning light
G C
If I could be in Birmingham tonight

Chorus
G C
That Alabama moon would put a shine on
D G F Em Dm
On this old faded love of hers and mine
C
And I can't help but feel
F Em Dm C
That everything would be alright
G C
If I could be in Birmingham tonight

Solo: C F - Em - Dm - C G C

C F
Chicago ain't no place to be alone
G C
And this old storm here in my heart just keeps raging on
F Em Dm C
But I know what to do to make it right
G C
I think I'll make a call to Birmingham tonight

Chorus
G C
That Alabama moon sure put a shine on
D G F Em Dm
This old faded love of hers and mine
C
And I can't help but feel
F Em Dm C
That everything would be alright
G C
If I could be in Birmingham tonight

Chorus
G C
That Alabama moon would put a shine on
D G F Em Dm
On this old faded love of hers and mine
C
And I can't help but feel
F Em Dm C
That everything would be alright
G C
If I could be in Birmingham tonight
