Capo on 6th fret

Am G C
At night my body aches
G D Em
for your warmth under the sheets
Am G C
I ached myself awake
G D B7
and opened the window

Am G C
I got a bucket-full in the face
G D Em
the snow came down in sheets
Am G C
I had to have a taste
G D B7
of some that gathered on the sill

E7 Am D G C
Do what you will
E7 Am D G C
to make you feel
E7 Am D G C
'cos life is dull as sin most of the time
Em Am
take your chances now

Am G C
The horizons black with smoke
G D Em
they say there is no hope
Am G C
this is the coming of the lord
G D B7
but he's not got to us yet

Am G C
so maybe I should read a book
G D Em
or cover my face with soot
Am G C
or I could kiss you on the mouth
G D B7
I've always wanted to do that

E7 Am D G C
Do what you will
E7 Am D G C
to make you feel
E7 Am D G C
'cos life is dull as sin most of the time
Em Am
take your chances now

E7 Am D G C
Do what you will
E7 Am D G C
to make you feel
E7 Am D G C
'cos life is dull as sin most of the time
Em Am
take your chances
