Rankers And Rotters

by Dave Hause
Dave Hause

Biography:

The lead singer of punk band The Loved Ones. In January 2011, he released his debut solo album, 'Resolutions', through Paper + Plastick records - touring extensively to promote it. A statement from the label, quoted on punknews.org, described the record's origins:

"While writing the follow-up to the last Loved Ones release (2009's Distractions, Fat Wreck Chords), Hause was writing songs that didn't seem like they would fit on a Loved Ones record.

Intro - D C G x4

D C G
We're the ones with the dirty fingernails
Crawling to the surface though we're destined to fail
We're the ones screaming right through the pauses
Unfamiliar faces with the unsexy causes

D C G
And they're right, we're second rate, but not alone, ooh-oh
With sunspots in our eyes, our shoes are filled with stones
They're running scared, afraid of what we'll say, ooh-oh
But damn the "make or break"-ers cause this one's for the ones who stay
The ones who stay

We won't back down [x7]
(Battered but proud) [x3]

Listen to the song to get the rhythm right but its pretty simple.
