Capo 3rd Fret

G C G
Would you even notice if you were let down easy

C G
If you were let down easy would you even know

C C
Looks like we’re alone now or would you even wonder

C G
Way too busy biding time to see we’re growing old

C G
And those rolling balls of thunder streaking ‘cross the summer night

C G
I’m heading toward the county line doing 95

G C G
I left my friends and family here keep a watch on my hometown

C G
Heading west cause it’s in my blood find a place to settle down

C G
Drive all night till the sunrise heats my back in Mexico

C G
Follow eagles soaring above showing me the way

C G
And those rolling balls of thunder streaking ‘cross the summer night

C G
I’m heading toward the county line doing 95

G C G
The gold rush here has come and gone betcha life I can find me some

C G
Heading north in a couple of days got to get to Hibbing

C G
This land was once a simple place prairie dogs outlaws

C G
Cowboys and mining towns but now it’s gone away

C G
And those rolling balls of thunder streaking ‘cross the summer night

C G
I’m heading toward the county line doing 95

G C G
Call myself an American but never slept on no freight train

C G
Never been to Santa Fe never shot a gun

C G
And I’ll never find what I’m looking for out here in the countryside

C G
All my heroes are long gone guess I’m coming home

C G
And those rolling balls of thunder streaking ‘cross the summer night

C G
I’m heading toward the county line doing 95
