Keep Watch for the Mines
By:Dashboard Confessional

This definitely is not 100% right, but it should give you a good enough idea of how to
the song and its not too hard

Tuning:
e-> Db tune down 1 step
B-> Db tune up 1 step
G-> Db tune down 2 1/2 steps
D-> Db tune down 1/2 step
A-> Ab tune down 1/2 step
E-> Db tune down 1 step

Chords: For the purpose of the song I'll label them by the note that sets them apart
A Db chord.
G F# C Db A Open/Db
db|-0--0---0---0---0----0------|
Db|-0--0---0---0---0----0------|
Db|-0--0---0---0---0----0------|
Db|-5--4--11--12---7----0------|
Ab|(5)(4)--x---x---x----0------|
Db|-5--4--11--12---7----0------|

You also might want to try other chords that would fit with the key. There were many
I just couldn't figure out. One chord I couldn't really fit was the 2nd chord in the
I Put an A there simply because it was used in the bridge and verse and it sounded okay there.

Intro: G F# x2

Verse-
C Db G A G F#
Don't act like you've been silent
G F# G F# G F# C Db G A G F#
I know how you spread that web of contradictions
G F# G F# G F# Open/Db A G
Wide, like so much cover fire

Chorus-
Open/Db A G
Keep watch for the mines.
Open/Db A G
Keep watch for the mines.

Verse 2-
Be careful who you wave that tongue at 'round here.
I've seen smarter acts than yours get disappeared.
If you keep swinging that knife up over this town
You are bound to get your own back stabbed

Chorus 2-
Open/Db
Keep watch for the mines
A G
The concealed dangers.
Open/Db
The traps and the chords of the wires
A G
With their sharp razors.
Open/Db
The ditches and the trenches and the smiles
A G
Of the gravediggers.
Open/Db A
And if you told, the answer needs no questioning,
G
The answer is a lie.

Bridge- Open/Db, A, G 6x (quick strumming)
Keep watch for the mines.
Keep watch for the mines.
Keep watch for the mines.
(will they bleed everyone out?)
(will they bleed everyone out?)
Keep watch for the mines.
(will they bleed everyone out before they die?)
Keep watch for the mines.
(will they bleed everyone out?)
(will they bleed everyone out?)
Keep watch for the mines.
(will they bleed everyone out before they die?)
Keep watch for the mines.

Version 1 of this song has a pretty good tab of the 2nd guitar part during the Chorus.
2 is in Standard flat tuning.
