Dark Star fue una banda inglesa procedentes de Londres cuya música es rock psicodélico y oscuro mezclado con una resaca dub y una ruidosa guitarra cargada de efectos.
Christian "Bic" Hayes, Laurence O'Keefe y David Francolini, todos ex miembros de Levitation, formaron Dark Star en 1998..
Dark Star publicó varios EPs y un álbum debut Twenty Twenty Sound, producido por Steve Lillywhite. Sus presentaciones en vivo con un escenario decorado con luces de colores, atrajo seguidores.
