[Verse 1]
D
I remember that long line
D
Camping out there all night
G C G
Just for a chance to see that hair band
D
Got tickets for my first show
D
Didn't care about the back row
Em
The day finally came
G
It was all worth the wait

[Pre-Chorus]
D
Never heard nothing so loud
D
As the roar of the crowd
G
When the lights went down
C G
And we all pulled 'em all out

[Chorus]
D
Lighter up, Feel the love
G C G
Everybody swaying, Ridin' that wave
D
So alive, With the fire
G C G
We raised them high, and burned the night
D G C G
Lighter up, lighter up

[Verse 2]
D
Hit the stage with that first song
D
Never felt a groove so strong
G
Lights were so bright
C G
We were coming alive
D
The words we didn't know-oh-oh
D
We all just said who-oh-oh
G
Then she grabbed my hand
C G
We started to dance

[Pre-Chorus]
D
Never seen nothing like the roar of the flames
G C G
She gave me a kiss before she gave me her name

[Chorus]
D
Lighter up, Feel the love
G C G
Everybody swaying, Ridin' that wave
D
So alive, You and I
G C G
We raised them high, and burned the night
D
Lighter up, lighter up

[Solo]
G C G D D G C G D D D

[Bridge]
D
And just like the show-oh-oh
D
We didn't take it slow-oh-oh
G
I bathed in her eyes
C G
Even watched the sunrise

[Chorus]
D
Lighter up, Feel the love
G C G
Everybody swaying, Ridin' that wave
D
So alive, You and I
G C G
We raised them high, and burned the night
D
Lighter up, Feel the love
G C G
Everybody swaying, Ridin' that wave
D
So alive, You and I
G C G
We raised them high, and burned the night
D
Lighter up,
D G C G
Lighter up
D
Lighter up
