NOTES:
I've not found a version of this song on the internet, so I decided to create my own.
This is an easily-playable, strum-along version of the song, with easy chords for beginners.
Easy embellishments are adding/removing a 5th on the G chord, a 7th on the Em chord and a sus4 on the D.
If folk tend to like this easy version I'll look at transcribing the more advanced/embellished version.

[Verse 1]

G Em C G
Ah the first summer of love was here when I was much too young
G Em C D
Ah the first summer of love was clearly just a summer long
Em
And there was Jesus on the radio. Jesus on the train...
C
Jesus in the calico. Jesus in the rain

[Chorus]

G Em
And there was love love love love
C D Em
Anyone could see that there was lo-o-o-o-ove
C D G
Love all over me

[Verse 2]

G Em C G
Ah the second summer of love is here so tell your angry friends
G Em C D
To throw away their Gaultier and grow their hair again.
Em
Acid on the radio. Acid on the brain
C
Acid in the calico. Acid in the rain.

[Chorus]

G Em
And there was love love love love
C D Em
Anyone could see that there was lo-o-o-o-ove
C D G
Love all over me
G Em
There was love love love-love love
C D Em
Anyone could see that there was lo-o-o-o-ove
C D G
Love all over me.

[Middle bit]

Em D C
There was love all over the country
G D C
And there was love all over the world.

[Middle 8 - use the 8 bars of Chorus for break if required]
G > Em > C > D > G > Em > C-D-G

Em
Acid on the radio. Acid on the brain
C
Acid everywhere you go. Acid in the rain.

[Chorus]

G Em
And there was love love love love
C D Em
Anyone could see that there was lo-o-o-o-ove
C D G
Love all over me.
G Em
There was love, love, love-love, love
C D Em
Anyone could see that there was lo-o-o-o-ove
C D G
Love all over me.

Disclaimer:
This is my own interpretation of the song 'Second Summer Of Love' by 'Danny Wilson.'
It is deliberately made simple as an aid for beginner guitarists, and should be taken in that manner.
I accept no responsibility for anyone getting laughed at when performing this live, due to inaccurate
chords or lyrics! I've gigged this exact version live and got a cheer. So there!
